This exhibition was originally planned to open in January at Kirkcudbright Art Gallery but due to lockdown is now showing digitally on the RSW website.
My painting ‘All That Remains’ (pictured) was inspired by the horrendous bushfires in NSW in January 2020. We were completely surrounded by fires on New Years Day. When we drove north to Sydney to return home to Scotland, we travelled for hours through scorched countryside, glimpsing people standing forlorn in the remains of the burnout homes.
